CLM Building Control Consultancy Ltd (CLM Consultancy) is delighted to confirm the continuing partnership with the 2024 BTCC Independent Drivers Champion, Árón Taylor-Smith.

CLM Consultancy was founded in 2020 by Colin Millward having been the Managing Director of STMC, an industry leading Building Control Company in the construction industry for over twenty years. CLM Consultancy first joined Taylor-Smith’s BTCC program in 2024 in which he was dominant in the Independent Drivers Championship, and another exciting sponsorship arrangement has now been agreed for the upcoming 2025 Kwik Fit BTCC season.

Taylor-Smith commented: “It was an absolute privilege to represent Colin and CLM Consultancy during the 2024 BTCC season. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to see him trackside at Oulton Park as well as hosting his family on certain race days. The support from CLM Consultancy played a substantial role in the successes of 2024 and I look forward to flying the company’s flag once again next season.”

Aron Taylor-Smith had an impressive 2024 British Touring Car Championship season, which ultimately propelled him to the top of the Independent standings after collecting twenty race wins out of a possible thirty along with two outright podiums. The fans favourite was in a league of his own within the Independent Drivers Championship and constantly threatened for outright race wins against the larger manufacture teams. In fact, Aron was the only driver to make five of the coveted ‘Quick Six’ shootouts in qualifying and scored points in all thirty races. But the Irishman now has his sight set on an even stronger 2025 season after gaining the continued support from CLM Consultancy for what should be another exciting season.

Colin Millward commented: “It was an honour to support Aron on his way to a Championship title in 2024. Before the 2024 season I commented that Aron had the tenacity to win a Championship. The fact that he did so in such a dominant manner was testament to his dedication and commitment to the close teamwork within Power Maxed Racing.  In 2025 I believe that the overall Drivers Championship is within his grasp, and I am extremely proud to have the CLM Consultancy logo on his race helmet and to be associated with his challenge for the Drivers title.  We have made some tweaks to our partnership which I believe will further increase the value of our sponsorship and I look forward to seeing Aron’s successes once again in 2025.”

As the 2025 British Touring Car Championship season approaches, Aron Taylor-Smith is poised to build on his remarkable success from the previous season. Now with the continued support from CLM Consultancy Taylor-Smith aims to challenge for outright Championship honours. The upcoming season promises to be competitive, and Taylor-Smith's strategic approach, combined with his proven track record, positions him as a formidable contender.

Aron Taylor-Smith commented: “I think everyone assumes that there isn’t all that much going on in the off season but, honestly, it’s arguably the busier time of the year. All of the preparation starts now, from the hours on the simulator to being in the gym. The races are truly won and lost at this point in the year. It has been a brilliant season, but I can’t help to feel as though we are only getting started. I cannot wait to see what we can achieve in 2025 whilst flying the CLM Consultancy flag.”

The first race of the 2025 BTCC season takes place on April 27th at Donington Park but be sure to keep an eye on Aron’s and the CLM Consultancy channels for regular updates on the run up to the first race.
